Set in the new northern Canberra region of Gungahlin in the suburb of Nicholls, the course is an easy 10 minutes drive from the Canberra City central. Gungahlin Lakes Golf Course was officially opened on the 1st July 1995. As the name implies the course features attractive lakes and ponds with challenging water carries across fairways and to greens. The 6198 metre, par 72 championship layout is regarded as one of the more challenging courses in the ACT District.
